The key question I’m struggling with is whether to look at building mobile apps in-house (with in-house available tools and device/OS SDKs) or to look at external options such as a mobile apps platform that offers cross-platform dev tools, possibly pre-built mobile ‘starter’ apps, and – I know this is a significant issue – prebuilt backend connecctors. I’m not a fan of pure in-house development. What are my options? Pros and cons? If you are ahead of me and have alread deployed please do share your experiences!

Hi , It all depends on what kind of mobile solution you are planning to roll out , what is your timeline , what is your mobility roadmap in enterprise . Lot of things put together would make the decision and both approaches have their pros and cons. Going with platforms gets u dependant on the vendors more or less locked down them and unless they are stable u r not with custom development you are in comtrol but its a time taking activity .
